A Collective of Experience, Insight, and Applied Knowledge
The Collegium is the collaborative learning body behind INFO U, a community of experienced professionals, instructors, contributors, and learners united by a shared belief: knowledge becomes more valuable when it is exchanged, tested, refined, and applied.
At its core, the Collegium is led by experienced professionals whose careers span the Marketing Arts, including Writing, Visual Communication, Media Production, and Publishing, as well as marketing, entertainment, business, and related creative industries.
Collectively, our leadership brings more than a century of professional experience to developing INFO U courses and learning experiences. Each instructor brings more than 20 years of experience in their respective field, with careers shaped by real-world work, changing markets, emerging technologies, successes, failures, and the practical challenges of building, creating, leading, and competing.
Our instructors are not simply observers of their professions.
They are practitioners.
They have spent years developing the skills, judgment, relationships, creativity, and strategies required to do the work.
Turning Experience Into Practical Knowledge
The Collegium was formed around a simple question:
What are the skills, principles, decisions, and lessons that actually helped us succeed?
Our instructors and contributors come together to examine that question, compare experiences, identify recurring patterns, and determine which lessons can help others build careers, grow businesses, strengthen organizations, develop creative work, and become recognized authorities within their fields.
We take that collective experience and transform it into structured learning.
Much of that learning is organized around INFO U’s Four Marketing Arts: Writing, Visual Communication, Media Production, and Publishing.
These are four of the primary ways we transform information into communication.
Writing gives information language.
Visual Communication gives information form.
Media Production gives information experience.
Publishing gives information a public life.
Our courses are informed not only by theory, but by what worked, what failed, what changed, what endured, and what decades of experience have taught us.
That collective knowledge can shape course concepts, lessons, case studies, practical exercises, professional strategies, emerging-industry analysis, and the tools and methods we recommend.
When a course is attributed to The Collegium, it represents the combined research, analysis, instructional design, experience, and contributions of multiple people rather than the perspective of a single instructor.
Learning for an AI-Driven World
The industries in which we built our careers are changing rapidly.
Artificial intelligence is transforming how people write, design, create media, publish information, market businesses, research ideas, serve audiences, and compete.
That is why AI is not treated as something separate from the INFO U learning experience.
Wherever appropriate, we examine how AI is changing the Marketing Arts and how emerging tools can be incorporated responsibly into professional and creative work.
Our goal is not to teach students to replace knowledge with artificial intelligence.
Our goal is to teach them how to use AI as leverage while strengthening their own knowledge, judgment, creativity, and experience.
AI can help us research faster, explore possibilities, improve workflows, analyze opportunities, create more efficiently, increase visibility, and compete in ways that once required much larger resources.
But tools will continue to change.
The ability to think, create, communicate, exercise judgment, and apply knowledge will remain essential.
More Than an Instructor Group
Leadership and instructors form the foundation of the Collegium, but they do not define its boundaries.
Students are part of the Collegium too.
So are professionals, guest contributors, subject-matter experts, practitioners, and others who bring useful knowledge, questions, perspectives, observations, and experiences into the INFO U learning environment.
We believe education becomes stronger when knowledge moves in more than one direction.
Students bring their own experiences. Industries evolve. Technologies change. New questions emerge. Different generations see problems differently.
The Collegium creates a place where those ideas can meet.
In that sense, the Collegium is more than a faculty.
It is a community of colleagues committed to learning from experience and from one another.
Where the Collegium Meets
INFO U is designed for online learning, but we believe meaningful education should also create intellectual and professional community.
Members of the Collegium may come together through online discussions, learning sessions, case-study conversations, workshops, special events, creative exchanges, and other collaborative experiences.
From time to time, opportunities may also be created for members to gather in person.
These experiences extend learning beyond an individual course. They give us an opportunity to exchange ideas, examine developments within the Marketing Arts, learn from one another, and build relationships with people who share a commitment to continued creative and professional growth.
Join the Collegium
You do not need to have all the answers to belong here.
You need curiosity.
You need a willingness to learn.
And eventually, you should be willing to contribute what you learn.
The Collegium is more than a group of instructors. It is a community of learners, graduates, practitioners, and contributors at different stages of their journey, united by a shared purpose: to turn information into knowledge, apply knowledge as wisdom, and help others master the Marketing Arts.
That is what INFO U is building.
A place where experience becomes information, information becomes knowledge, and knowledge can ultimately become wisdom through application.
Bring your experience. Expand your knowledge. Share what you learn.
Welcome to The Collegium at INFO U.
